Rocky Mountain Repertory Theatre Company performs professional plays and musicals in the town of Grand Lake’s Historic Community Center. The summer repertory season (mid-June to mid-August) consists of three musicals in daily rotation, a fall weekend production (through the end of September), Youth Theatre Workshop, Teen Theatre Workshop and Music Theatre Workshop productions. Tickets available at the box office on the boardwalk in front of the Community Center in the center of town.

Music

Grand County Concert Series

The Grand County Concert Series brings classical music to the county in six concerts from November through May. A special feature are the after-concert dessert receptions with the artists. The Grand County Concert Series also raises money for scholarships so students can attend the concerts for free.

A member-driven nonprofit organization operates year-round bringing national blues recording artists to Grand County. The society hosts 16 events a year and a festival the Saturday before July 4th. Most of the shows are at Smokin’ Moes in Winter Park. The society sponsors a Blues in the Schools program for the all the schools in Grand County. They have purchased over a dozen guitars that are available at all the libraries in Grand County through their “Check out the Music” program.

Cozens Ranch Museum

Showcases one of the oldest homesteads in the Fraser Valley. The ranch home once served as a stage stop and an authentic replica of an 1880s stagecoach is on display. Open Thurs.-Sat.10am-4pm. Admission: adults $4, seniors $3.

Visitors are surprised by the skiing display, which details the beginning of the sport in Colorado. The often overlooked but vital role of women in settling the land is honored in the Pioneer Woman exhibit. Hours: Wed.-Sat.10am-4pm. Admission at both: adults $4, seniors (62 and older) $3, students $2, children under six free.

A well-preserved, two-story, log homestead building dating approximately 1885 known as the Fitch Homestead. Special tours by appointment.

Kauffman House Museum

Grand Lake Area Historical Society was formed in 1973 to preserve and protect the only remaining log hotel built in Grand Lake prior to 1900.This nonprofit organization maintains the Kauffman House Museum built in 1892 and operated as a hotel until 1946 by the Kauffman family. A gallery was added in 1990 to house additional exhibits. The museum is open daily from Memorial Day to Labor Day 11am-5pm and on special occasions throughout the year.
